Transportation

Providing safe and efficient transportation for students to and from school and school-related activities is the top priority of the Upper Arlington Schools Transportation Department.

Upper Arlington Schools provides transportation to more than 900 students each day, traveling more than 1,700 miles through 25 different bus routes. The district owns and operates a fleet of 31 school buses.

The district offers transportation services to elementary and middle school students who live 1.25 miles or greater from their home school. Transportation is not provided for high school students. Transportation also may be provided to students with special education transportation needs.

Each year,  families complete a request for transportation for their student(s) - either at the time of registration for a new student or in the summer through the Transportation Request Form in PowerSchool for a returning student entering grades 1-8. If families are interested in requesting bus service after the start of the school year, they may contact the Transportation Department at [email protected] or 614-487-6477 prior to having their student ride the bus.

Bus drivers are also not permitted to change Board-approved bus stops. Any changes should be requested through the Transportation Department.
