A Note From Mr. Buffer

Tremont Parent Guidebook:  Please take a moment to look over the parent guidebook on the Tremont website.  It contains answers to many frequently asked questions, and also provides phone numbers for school personnel.

Lost and Found:  Wow!  The lost and found is overflowing with jackets and other student possessions.  Please take a look when you are in the building.

My Plate My State:  Our food service department has a special menu planned next Wednesday featuring locally sourced food--we hope the kids enjoy it!

Access STAR Reports:  Parents can access their children’s STAR reports via the Parent STAR access website.  If you had an account last year it is still active.  If you need an account the process can be found at Parent Access Guide.  Reference documents and other information related to STAR can be found here: Parent Guide to STAR.

Mr. Hurley and I appreciate the parent input we receive.  Please call, email, or drop by if you ever have a question or a concern.  E-mail is best for a quick yes or no, or a piece of information.  If the topic is more detailed please call or schedule a time to meet so we can communicate positively and efficiently.  Many Thanks!

Counselor’s Corner

Tremont Families:  For the last thirty plus years, the elementary counselors in the district have offered the Y.E.S. program (Youth Education for Safety).  The program is offered to all First and Fourth grade students in the district.  The students learn about mean behavior, stranger danger, good touch/bad touch, and texting.  The program is presented by adult volunteers through role-playing.  We, elementary counselors, ask you to consider helping us present the program.  It is offered the week of November 13th.  Volunteers can present one and/or all five days at different schools in the district--each presentation is an hour long.  We ask that you attend a half day training offered the afternoon of Oct. 23rd or morning of Oct. 26th.  Please click on the “YES Program” link below, or contact me directly.

Thank you,

Jean Allocco, School Counselor
