bare - Literary/Arts/Music Annual
To belong to the staff of bare, the high school’s nationally-ranked literary/arts/music annual, a student should have an interest in creative writing, art, or original music and commit to attending scheduled meetings.
The purpose of the staff is to produce bare, which publishes original student poems, short stories, and essays; photographs and images of other artwork; and instrumental and vocal compositions. Although any student may submit work for publication, only works selected by the bare staff will be published. The primary responsibilities of the staff include publicizing bare, encouraging classmates to submit their work, selecting pieces for publication, and designing bare's graphics and layout. In addition, the staff helps raise funds to offset printing and CD-production costs and assists in selling the publication.
From late September through May, bare meets most Wednesdays from 3:15-4:00 in Room 221. In March and April–during final design and layout–meetings become more frequent.
