January is the time of new beginnings - a new year (how long will it take me to remember to write 2017?), and a renewed resolution to be healthy and fit. At Jones, it also brings a new grading period and a new semester. This fresh start reminds all of us that if you were not as successful as you would have liked last year, there is a new year full of possibilities ahead of us.
After collecting community feedback, the Board of Education has approved the superintendent's recommendation for a long-term facilities master plan.
Senior portraits can be sent to the Norwester yearbook staff anytime between now and the end of first semester. A digital file (jpg, 600x600 minimum ppi) is preferred; a high-quality, wallet-sized photo can also be sent, though digital images often print better in the book. The pose may be either formal or informal; however, it should be a head and shoulders shot, and no costumes or "props" should be used in the photo. Please title the image file with your name as you would like it to appear in the yearbook (or write the name on the back of the actual photo) and send it to or to the high school (Attn: Norwester). DEADLINE: First day of second semester, Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017
