Job Shadowing

Job Shadowing experiences help our students answer the questions: What do I like to do? What are my gifts? Talents? Fascinations? What comes next? 8th graders shadow parents and other family members to gain a greater understanding of the world of work.  9th graders select shadowing sponsors, other than parents, whose work reflects each student’s interests. These shadowing experiences are part of the larger process of career exploration; helping student make decisions about course selections, part-time jobs, volunteer work and college choices.

Hastings and Jones 8th Graders Shadowing Day aligns with the National Event: Take Your Son/Daughter to Work Day on April 23, 2015.

UAHS Shadowing Day TBD
