In the spring of 2020, the original Windermere Elementary School was decommissioned to make way for the new school building. Before we closed the original Windermere, we wanted to document and celebrate the history and memories of the current building.

 

As we prepared for the start of construction, we identified the class handprint tiles as one of the important parts of that building that we would like to save, but we unfortunately found that they can't be removed from the walls without completely crumbling. Since we weren't able to save them, we recorded a video to commemorate the tiles - please feel free to watch and find your tile in the video below!

 

While we are sad to see the original Windermere go, we are excited for the bright future ahead for Windermere Hawks families, staff and neighbors!
