Upper Arlington Schools is committed to providing a safe, positive, productive and nurturing educational environment for all of its students.
Harassment, intimidation or bullying toward a student, whether by other students, staff or third parties, is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Harassment, intimidation and/or discrimination of any student, staff member or other individuals by any person or group will be prohibited on school property or at any school-sponsored activity.
This prohibition includes aggressive behavior, physical, verbal, and psychological abuse, and violence within a dating relationship. The District will not tolerate any gestures, comments, threats or actions which cause or threaten to cause bodily harm or personal degradation.
Harassment, intimidation or bullying means:
any intentional written, verbal, electronic, or physical act that a student or group of students exhibits toward another particular student(s) more than once and the behavior both causes mental or physical harm to the other student(s) and is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment for the other student(s); or
violence within a dating relationship.
While all reported incidents may not meet the definition of bullying, harassment, or intimidation, it may indicate a negative situation that needs to be addressed.

To report an incident of bullying, harassment, or discrimination please complete a Stay Safe, Speak Up! safety report. All reports will be promptly forwarded to the building principal/designee for review and action. If you feel this is an emergency outside school hours, please contact your local police.
