Tremont Kindergarten Program

Tremont Elementary School is excited to welcome the Upper Arlington Class of 2037 in the fall of 2024! Founded in 1952, Tremont offers our K-5 elementary curriculum to students living within the Tremont attendance area — approximately bounded by Wickliffe, Ridgecliff and Fishinger roads on the north; North Star Road on the east; Lane Avenue on the south; and Route 33 (Riverside Drive) on the west.

Upper Arlington Schools is proud to offer an all-day kindergarten program at all five elementary schools, including Tremont Elementary School. Our all-day kindergarten program builds on the high-quality academic program offered in the Upper Arlington Schools. All-day kindergarten better meets the needs of our developing learners so that they are able to learn and grow academically, socially and emotionally. The full-day program provides more time to develop students’ skills in the core academic areas while also maintaining our focus on developing the whole child through social and emotional learning and growth.

Tremont Elementary School will offer a kindergarten information night on Thursday, February 8, 2024, in our school building to provide families with more information about the kindergarten program and registration process. Following the meeting, the presentation will be posted on this website, with translated versions also available. The district will also post a link to a recorded version of a district-level presentation, with closed-captioned translation available, at

Children who will be 5 years of age on or before September 30, 2024, are eligible for kindergarten during the 2024-2025 school year.

The kindergarten registration window will open on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. We encourage families to complete the registration process between Tuesday, February 20 and Wednesday, March 20, 2024, for staffing and planning purposes.

Please visit our kindergarten registration website to learn more about upcoming kindergarten information nights, the registration process and what documents to prepare now before registration begins.

Our kindergarten screenings are an opportunity for us to learn more about your child as a learner and a new member of our school community. You will receive more information about how to sign up for the screening date and time in the spring.

our school

Over the past few years, Tremont Elementary School has undergone significant renovations and new construction. These new and modern learning spaces are supporting our students as they develop the skills necessary to serve, lead and succeed. You can watch the video below to take a virtual tour of the new Tremont Elementary School, completed for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.

At Tremont Elementary School, our school day is from 8:15 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. For our incoming kindergarten students, the school day will be structured to support them as they adjust to a full-day learning program. The school day will be built around the learning blocks for the core content areas - math, reading, writing, science/social studies - with time for play and “brain breaks” woven in throughout the day. Students will have time to work with teachers individually or in small groups to support their learning and reinforce or extend where needed.  Each week, students will also have a related arts block that rotates between music, art and PE.

The health office is a very friendly place for students at Tremont Elementary School. We are here for Tremont students, to help them with their medical needs as well as helping them adjust to the school environment.  There is a registered nurse assigned to the health clinic each day during school hours.

Please visit our District Health Office and Forms page to access needed health forms and our Tremont Health Office page for additional information about our services.
