Informal Program 50th Anniversary

Informal turns 50 graphic with student artThe Upper Arlington Schools progressive / informal program was established 50 years ago, in 1972, by a group of educators, parents, and Ohio State University professors who were committed to a common educational philosophy reflected through the practices of progressive education. 


Today, the informal program, offered at Barrington and Wickliffe elementary schools, celebrates 50 years of educating students in the Upper Arlington Schools.

Join the Barrington and Wickliffe school communities as we celebrate this milestone for our informal program and the many students, staff members and families who have made this program a success over the past 50 years. All current families and alumni, current and former staff members, friends of the program, and community members are welcome to join us for celebratory open houses on the following dates.
