Windermere Kindergarten Program

Windermere Elementary School is excited to welcome the Upper Arlington Class of 2037 in the fall of 2024! Founded in 1958, Windermere offers our K-5 elementary curriculum to students living within the Windermere attendance area — approximately bounded by Lane Road on the north, Reed and Fishinger Roads on the east, Ridgecliff and Wickliffe Roads on the south, and Route 33 on the west.

Upper Arlington Schools is proud to offer an all-day kindergarten program at all five elementary schools, including Windermere Elementary School. Our all-day kindergarten program builds on the high-quality academic program offered in the Upper Arlington Schools. All-day kindergarten better meets the needs of our developing learners so that they are able to learn and grow academically, socially and emotionally. The full-day program provides more time to develop students’ skills in the core academic areas while also maintaining our focus on developing the whole child through social and emotional learning and growth.

The Windermere Way

OUR SCHOOL DAY

At Windermere Elementary School, our school day is from 8:15 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. For our incoming kindergarten students, the school day will be structured to support them as they adjust to a full-day learning program. The school day will be built around the learning blocks for the core content areas - math, reading, writing, science/social studies - with time for play and “brain breaks” woven in throughout the day. Students will have time to work with teachers individually or in small groups to support their learning and reinforce or extend where needed.  Each week, students will also have a related arts block that rotates between music, art and PE.

Our school

The new Windermere Elementary School opened for the start of the 2021-2022 school year. These new and modern learning spaces are supporting our students as they develop the skills necessary to serve, lead and succeed.

OUR HEALTH OFFICE

The health office is a very friendly place for students at Windermere Elementary School. We are here for Windermere students, to help them with their medical needs as well as helping them adjust to the school environment.  There is a registered nurse assigned to the health clinic each day during school hours.

Please visit our District Health Office and Forms page to access needed health forms and our Windermere Health Office page for additional information about our services.
