Excellence & Engagement

The mission of the Upper Arlington Schools is to challenge and support every student, every step of the way. Our district is committed to ensuring that every student feels welcomed, valued, supported and embraced, and has the resources they need to be an engaged and uniquely accomplished learner who is prepared to serve, lead and succeed.

To achieve these goals, students must feel physically and emotionally safe and have a sense of belonging in their school.  When students experience these feelings of security, we set the stage for them to thrive during their preK-12 school years and beyond.

In conjunction with the Teaching & Learning Department, the Office of Excellence and Engagement is focused on increasing engagement levels and ensuring consistency in the student experience. This supports the district’s commitments to student and staff well-being; diversity, equity and inclusion; the personalization of learning based on academic needs; and equitable access to educational technology resources and innovative teaching and learning practices.

The Office of Excellence & Engagement oversees new student registration; student and staff well-being; diversity, equity and belonging work; and the Technology Department.
