Public Notice on Re-employment

In accordance with Section 3307.353 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Upper Arlington City School District Board of Education hereby gives notice that Dr. Robert Hunt, Superintendent, is considering retiring prior to the start of the 2026-2027 school year and is seeking reemployment with the Upper Arlington City School District, on or about August 2, 2026, in the same position following his service retirement.

The Board of Education will consider the re-employment of Dr. Hunt as Superintendent and will hold a public meeting with respect to Dr. Hunt's proposed re-employment on November 11, 2025, at 6:00pm, in City of Upper Arlington, Council Chambers located at 3600 Tremont Road.

Upper Arlington Senior Center Demolition Project

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Education of the Upper Arlington City School District as provided in this notice for the Upper Arlington Senior Center Demolition Project. Questions may be directed to Paul Garland, Moody Nolan, at paul.garland@moodynolan.com, with a copy to Greg Thompson, Upper Arlington City School District, at gcthompson@uaschools.org.

Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to Board of Education of the Upper Arlington City School District, ATTN: Andrew Geistfeld, Treasurer/ CFO, 1619 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, and plainly marked on the outside "Upper Arlington CSD – Upper Arlington Senior Center Demolition Project Bid."  Bids will be received until 12:00 p.m., local time June 4, 2025 and immediately after the deadline the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.

A pre-bid conference will be held on May 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at 1945 Ridgeview Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.

All bids must include a Bid Guaranty, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the opening; the Board reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility.
