Elizabeth Blank, a sixth-grade science teacher at Hastings Middle School, has been selected as a recipient of the Arthur S. Holden Science Teacher Award of Excellence by the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. This prestigious award honors outstanding science educators from across Ohio who demonstrate exceptional teaching, dedication, and contributions to science education within their schools and communities.

Blank’s selection for this honor is a testament to the high regard her peers hold for her work and the lasting impact she has on her students and the broader school community. Her recognition highlights the strength of Upper Arlington Schools’ commitment to academic excellence and innovative science instruction.

She will be formally recognized at the Foundation’s Annual Educator Awards Banquet on Thursday, July 24. As part of the award, Blank will receive a $1,000 grant to support a classroom, school, or district project or initiative.
