Strength in Team Staff Spotlight: Frank Firestine, Transportation
This year, we will be highlighting the people who contribute to the strength of our team by making our schools and our district such a special place for students.
Frank Firestine, bus driver, Transportation
How do you contribute to your school/department and the school district as a whole? I believe I am responsible for making sure my bus is ready each morning to safely transport our students to and from school.
What inspires you / motivates you in your role? The joy of being a small part of the lives of our amazing students.
What is a memorable moment, or your proudest moment at UA Schools in the 4 years you have been with Upper Arlington Schools? I think some of my most memorable moments occurred when at the end of the school year my students asked me to sign their yearbooks.
What brings you joy outside of work? I love to read for pleasure as well as growth in my personal life.
What Transportation Director Teresa Seward has to say about Frank: Frank Firestine was one of the first drivers I met when I began my journey here at Upper Arlington Transportation. He immediately made me feel welcomed to the team. He is personable, punctual, dependable and caring, and takes his position at Upper Arlington Schools as a school bus driver seriously.
Frank starts with heart and enjoys being a small part of his student’s lives. He ensures that his vehicle is in good working order, while making sure students are transported safe and secure daily to and from school. He is consistent and fair when speaking to students, parents and staff. Frank is a team player and is always willing to help whomever he can, whenever he can.
Thank you, Frank, for your loyalty to the Upper Arlington student families and Transportation.
