While in school, Jeffrey took part in the prestigious orchestra program, performing in many of the nation’s finest concert halls during national orchestra contests.

College and career experiences

Jeffrey studied with renowned pedagogue Robert Lipsett at the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, California, where he earned his Bachelor of Music and Artist diploma.  Jeffrey is currently touring the country with the Calidore String Quartet, which is based in Manhattan.  In 2014 the Calidore were selected by the Emerson Quartet to become artists-in-residences and visiting faculty at Stony Brook University (SUNY).  The 2014-15 season marks the release of Calidore’s debut album and a second release.  The group made its Columbus debut on February 8 with a performance at the Columbus Museum of Art.

How did UA Schools prepare him for success?

Besides getting to work with the top-notch teachers at UA… I also had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in front of the entire student body. That type of performing experience is extremely difficult to come by and I feel that very performance prepared me for what I do today.”
