2020-2021 state report card information

This month, the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) released the 2020-2021 annual school report cards. For the second straight year, the report cards look different than in prior years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and do not include certain data points, such as overall grades for districts and schools.

Upper Arlington Schools will be sharing information about the 2020-2021 school report card at the November 9 Board of Education meeting.

Superintendent's Notes: District building on tradition of academic excellence

It’s been an amazing start to the school year as we welcomed students into six new or renovated school buildings.  While we are extremely proud of these beautiful facilities, they have never been our focus.  Throughout all of the work, we have remained steadfast in our focus on students and academic achievement. 

I’ll start with something that will impact all students in our schools, and that is the new multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) framework. Upper Arlington Schools is taking the lead in education nationwide by implementing MTSS so that every student is able to maximize their growth through differentiated and individualized instruction with a focus on the whole child. MTSS truly brings to life our mission to challenge and support every student, every step of the way.

12 UAHS students selected for OMEA state and regional orchestras

Twelve Upper Arlington High School students have been selected among the best of the best in the performing arts in the state of Ohio as members of the 2021 Ohio Music Education Association’s South-Central All-Region Orchestra. 

Three of these students have also been chosen to perform in the prestigious All-State Orchestra.

District offices moving to the Mincy Center at the new UAHS

Beginning on Monday, October 4, the Mincy Center, 1619 Zollinger Road, will be open on the site of the new Upper Arlington High School. The new Mincy Center will be home to the new student welcome center, as well as the location for several district-level departments including human resources and the treasurer’s office. 

Please note that our current district office at 1950 North Mallway Drive will be closed on Friday, October 1 as our staff transitions to the new location. If you need immediate assistance on October 1, please contact your school building.
