Superintendent Imhoff announces plans to retire in January 2023

Upper Arlington Schools Superintendent Paul Imhoff, Ed.D., has announced that he will retire in January 2023.  

Imhoff says his 10 years in Upper Arlington are the most memorable of his 30-plus year career in public schools.  

“We have amazing students, the most dedicated and talented teachers, and an incredibly supportive community,” Imhoff said. “Our own children are both UAHS graduates, and our family will always be Golden Bears.”

Update on the Listen Learn Lead community engagement process

At the June 21 regular meeting, the Board of Education received a Listen Learn Lead briefing report outlining learnings based on all of the data points from this process.The Board of Education has asked district administration to prepare an action plan based on the findings of the report and present it at the August regular meeting.

Board of Education moves forward with operating levy in November

June 22, 2022

After delaying an operating levy request for the past two years, the Upper Arlington Board of Education will return to voters with a 6.9-mill operating levy request on the November 8, 2022, ballot to provide needed funding to maintain the district’s high-quality educational program. 

The five members of the Board of Education voted unanimously on the evenings of May 24 and June 21 to approve the two resolutions required to place an issue on the ballot. As part of the Board of Education’s commitment to transparency, a letter will be mailed to all Upper Arlington households providing an update on the district’s finances and the decision to return to voters for operating funding.

Alumni, Educator Hall of Fame honorees to be recognized at July 2 open house

The Upper Arlington Alumni Association and Upper Arlington Schools are pleased to announce the alumni and retired educators who have been selected for the 2022 Alumni Awards and 2022 Educator Hall of Fame. 

These individuals will be recognized this summer along with the two previous years’ alumni and educator nominees during the Upper Arlington High School Open House on Saturday, July 2. The open house will be held at the high school, 1625 Zollinger Road, from 1 to 4 p.m., with the awards presentation beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the performing arts center and a reception to follow.

Board of Education meeting canceled due to power outage

Due to a power outage, the Upper Arlington Board of Education meeting scheduled for 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14 is canceled.  Both the executive session and public session will be rescheduled for Tuesday, June 21.  More details will be available on the district website.
