Student submissions wanted for Start With Hello digital gallery

Start With Hello artwork of hands holding wrists to form a circleStart With Hello is an annual celebration dedicated to making new social connections by engaging in conversation with one another to create a sense of belonging among young people. Start With Hello gives us an opportunity to practice engaging in conversation with one another and celebrating the importance of inclusive connections.

This year, as part of the Start With Hello week celebrations in September, Upper Arlington Schools will be creating a digital gallery of student work celebrating the themes of Start With Hello and honoring their commitment to a sense of belonging.

The digital gallery will be featured online (via the district’s social media channels, including YouTube, and the district website) and across the school buildings. Students can work on designs with families, independently, or as a classroom project, and can use any medium they want to create a piece of fine art, a structural design, a performance, etc., to lift up the themes of Start With Hello.

Students can submit their pieces in jpg, png, pdf, or video format via email to [email protected] by September 22, 2023.
