UAHS girls water polo wins 5th consecutive state championship

The girls water polo team gathered on the edge of a pool holding the state championship trophy

Upper Arlington High School girls and boys water polo teams ended their seasons #1 and #2 in the state, respectively, with the girls team repeating as state champions for the fifth consecutive year.


In the state final matches on Sunday, October 29 in their home pool, the Upper Arlington High School girls claimed a 12-6 victory over Cincinnati Sycamore. It is their 21st state championship overall — a state record.


The boys team fell short of a state championship, with a 9-8 loss against Toledo St. Francis. 


Overall, the UAHS water polo program has an impressive 30 state championships all together.
