Windermere Weekly Family Update 4-22-22

Windermere Weekly Parent Update

4.22.22

I’m sure many of your thoughts last night and today have been with the students who became ill yesterday. I am happy to share that they are all doing well. I again want to thank all of you for your support for your children and the whole Windermere community.

Happy Earth Day yesterday and happy spring, Windermere.  I love this time of year.  Mrs. Justice, our amazing art teacher…….wow, just WOW, you are so talented!!!!  Look at this drawing she created that went  home with every student yesterday. This beautiful artwork  accompanied packets of Zinnia seeds that Cornwell Lawn & Landscaping donated to each student and staff member at Windermere in recognition of Earth Day and the inaugural opening of our community sensory garden at the end of the school year. This artwork can be a beautiful keepsake for our staff and students. Thank you Mrs. Justice!  Make sure you read the inscription on the back, too!  As we enter the last 5.5 weeks of school, we are excited about our students’ continued growth.  We have so much to celebrate and know it’s going to be a great end to the school year.

I wish each of you a wonderful weekend!  The sun is shining, and the temperatures are going to be warm…hopefully we will get to see some of our flowers blooming with the abundance of rain this week.

Julie

Walking to Dogs to School:  As the weather warms up, we have seen more and more dogs accompanying families during pick-up and drop-off times.  While we love to see our students’ furry friends, we also want to remind families that dogs are not permitted on school property.  If you choose to walk your dog to pick-up/drop-off, please wait for your student off of school grounds.  Thank you so much.  We do this for the safety of our students!

Clothes from the Clinic: Please wash and return borrowed clothing items from our nurses office.

Syntero Summer Prevention Groups: Please see the Syntero Summer Groups flyer for upcoming summer groups.
