Board of Education update: Mask requirement extended to UAHS

During a special meeting this morning, the Board of Education voted to extend the mask requirement to the high school beginning Tuesday, September 7.  Just like the existing requirement for Pre-K through 8th grade, this means that masking will be required indoors during the school day for students, teachers, other staff members and visitors.  Click here to watch a recording of the meeting and hear the full discussion - including an updated recommendation for high school masking from the district’s Medical Advisory Team.

Board members expressed that this is meant to be a temporary measure. They will continue to work in collaboration with the Medical Advisory Team to evaluate mitigation strategies as COVID-19 data changes.

The COVID-19 dashboard is updated every Friday afternoon. The dashboard provides current case and quarantine numbers for student and staff, as well as school district specific data provided by the CATS project, in partnership with The Ohio State University College of Public Health.
