Family Update - May 15, 2022

May 15, 2022

Dear Families,

Parents reached out to let us know of a scheduling conflict for our 8th Grade Celebration on June 1.  After looking into it, we realized that we have 27 families who have an 8th grader and a 5th grader this year.  For this reason we will be making adjustments to our schedule so that parents can participate in both 5th grade and 8th grade fun.  We expect to communicate those changes on Monday.

If your student is taking Algebra next year, please consider taking advantage of the summer opportunities detailed below.  They are not required to take the class, but we feel strongly that students will be more confident and successful at the start of the year if they do participate.  Please reach out to your student’s math teacher with any questions.

We are encouraging students to keep their academic momentum going as we end the year.  Teachers are supporting students in completing outstanding assignments and reworking some for improved outcomes.  Students who have not submitted work by the end of the day on May 27, will be asked to do so prior to participating in PAW Day festivities.  As soon as loose ends are tied up, they will join their peers for the remainder of the fun.

Many thanks to the PTO and parent volunteers who made the 7th grade party a huge success this week!  It is so fun to watch the students having so much fun!

We hope you are having a great weekend!

Warm Regards,

Aimee C. White

Heather Markward

  • Grades 1-8 - Students retain their devices from the 21-22 school year for continued use.
