Dear Tremont Families,

October is flying by! We are looking forward to seeing many of you tonight at the Fall Family Festival! It is going to be so much fun! A huge thank you to all of you who donated to our First Grader’s Walk for Water event yesterday. Great job, first grade! Next week will be another full week for us at Tremont. We are so thankful for our ongoing partnership with families and are anxious to meet with you next Tuesday or Thursday at conferences! Have an amazing weekend and enjoy the slightly warmer weather that has returned for a little while!

Digital Citizenship Week/Month!

Internet safety is more important than ever before. Why? By 2020, it is estimated that 20.4 billion devices will be connected online. That includes tablets, desktop and laptop computers, smart watches, smart phones, and much more! Here are some resources to highlight the importance of helping kids, families, and teachers navigate our 24/7 digital world.

Download the UA Schools app!

Did you know there’s an Upper Arlington Schools mobile app? It provides families and students with quick access to everything related to our district and schools — including event calendars, lunch menus, links to SPS EZPay and PowerSchool, important documents, school PTO websites, and more. The free app is available for iOS, Android, and Windows devices. Search “Upper Arlington Schools” in the Apple Store or on Google Play, or visit our website for direct links to download.

STATE OF THE STAND

TUE NOV 1 | 6-8PM | UAHS – North Learning Commons

Want to learn more about The Stand Project or how can you support us? We invite you to participate in this gathering with adult and student Stand members as we recap recent events and identify goals, needs, and priorities for our Winter/Spring 2023 programming – including youth and parent engagement at all grade levels and community-wide offerings. Food will be provided.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion opportunity from the Executive Director of DEI

On October 18th, registration opened for the Longest Table, an evening event in the UAHS gymnasium at 6 pm on November 16th.

The Longest Table is a collaborative effort of the Upper Arlington Schools, Upper Arlington Education Foundation (UA+Ed) and the City of Upper Arlington. Funded by UA+Ed and the City of Upper Arlington, this event will bring together students, parents/guardians, staff and community members of diverse backgrounds and points of view for a shared meal to celebrate our unique stories. Guests will have the opportunity to meet new people, engage in guided conversation that encourages understanding and respect, and listen to and learn from different perspectives in our community.

This event is open to students and community members age 14 and older, and registration will be required, as space is limited.  We encourage everyone interested in attending and participating in this positive conversation. Our hope is that we will share and appreciate a variety of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds during the Longest Table.  To register, visit the Longest Table page on the District website
