Dear Tremont Families,

Welcome to September! What a fantastic first couple of weeks we have had. We are continuing to establish routines and community in our classrooms and across the school.

We hope you have an awesome long weekend and enjoy time together with family and friends!

Thank you for the privilege of loving and caring for your amazing children,

Michelle and Emily

Tonight is Youth Night at UAHS football game!

  • Dr. Banks and Mrs. Karst hope to see you tonight at the UAHS football game!

Walk-A-Thon

  • Please watch for upcoming communication from our TSA regarding our Tremont Walk-A-Thon on September 23rd!

Pokemon Cards

  • Please help us let your children know that K-4th grade students may not bring Pokemon Cards to school. These have become a source of distraction and frustration for many students. 5th grade students may continue to bring the cards unless they lose this privilege. Thank you for your support.

News from the Art Room

  • To celebrate our Tremont theme Growing Together, students in all grade levels in both Ms. Lott’s and Mrs. Poling’s art classes have been designing their own flower petals. As class groups, we are arranging the flower petals into big flowers. Students are drawing patterns, activities they enjoy, their favorite sport teams, and fun doodles as a form of self expression.

We listened to Louis Armstrong’s song “What a Wonderful World” while enjoying Tim Hopgood’s illustrated book inspired by the song.

I am especially fond of the lyrics to the song:

  • Babies cry, I watch them grow,

  • They’ll learn much more, than I’ll ever know,

  • And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.

Starting this school year with gratitude as we learn and grow together.
