Share your thoughts on the search for our next superintendent

The Upper Arlington Schools Board of Education has initiated a search for a new superintendent of schools, following the announcement by Dr. Imhoff that he will be retiring in January of 2023.

The Board of Education is committed to setting up a thorough and comprehensive search process that prioritizes community engagement and feedback from all of stakeholders — parents and guardians, students, staff and the school district community as a whole. There will be multiple opportunities for all community members and groups to provide input on community priorities.

Superintendent search survey — open through Friday, September 30

As a first step, the Board of Education is inviting all stakeholders to share their thoughts about the personal and professional attributes, skills, and qualifications they would like to see in the next superintendent, as well as what that individual's priorities should be for the district. The Board of Education — with the assistance of the search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA) — has developed a brief survey that will remain open through midnight on Friday, September 30.

In-person and virtual community forums

Over the next two weeks, HYA will be hosting five community forums to ensure the Board of Education hears from all stakeholders. There are multiple opportunities for everyone to participate. We hope you will share your thoughts at one of the following evenings:

In-person community forums

Two separate forum opportunities will be conducted simultaneously on each of the following evenings:

• Wednesday, September 21 — 7 p.m. at Upper Arlington High School, 1625 Zollinger Road

• Thursday, September 22 — 7 p.m. at Upper Arlington High School, 1625 Zollinger Road
