Deadline extended for UA Online Academy forms

We are extending the deadline for making a decision on enrollment in the UA Online Academy as we prepare to transition to in-person hybrid learning. As a reminder, the UA Online Academy is our online-only learning option for students this school year.

The new deadline to complete the following forms is Monday, September 7 at 11:59 p.m. Please complete these forms only if they apply to your family.

  • UA Online Academy opt-out form — only for families with students currently enrolled in the Online Academy who wish to transition to the school-based pathway (hybrid learning)

We are on schedule to complete the process for selecting a new digital content platform for the Online Academy on Friday, September 4, and will share more information with families ahead of the deadline for these forms.  This process includes a review of three possible platforms — Edgenuity, SchoolsPLP and Accelerate Education — by teachers and parents with background in diversity, equity and inclusion work.

Please note that the next opportunity to request a transition to or from the Online Academy will be in late November, with the requested change taking place when students return from winter break on January 5, 2021.  Switching to or from the Online Academy prior to that date will not be permitted.
