Dry July leads to substantial progress on five construction projects
Foundation and stair tower work in AugustDry conditions during the month of July have led to substantial progress on the five projects in the first phase of the facilities master plan for Upper Arlington Schools. All of the projects remain on schedule and on budget.

Since March, crews from Ruscilli Construction have been onsite at Upper Arlington High School. During the months of July and August, construction of the foundations for the new high school building and the stair towers continues to progress in preparation for the delivery of structural steel in mid-September. Ruscilli has also completed the construction of the concrete foundation for the orchestra pit in the new auditorium.

The new high school building is on budget and on schedule for completion for the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

Also on the high school site, the newly renovated Marv Moorehead Stadium opened on schedule for the first boys soccer home game of the season on August 16. The project features new home bleachers, relocated bandstand, scoreboard (generously paid for by our sponsors), press box, visitors and home concession buildings, and track. Crews will continue to put the final touches on the stadium, including the track surface, project this fall around a full schedule of home games.

On September 6, student-athletes and special guests will join the Upper Arlington Board of Education for a rededication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new stadium before the start of the first Friday football home game of the season. The ceremony will precede the 7 p.m. kickoff.
