A student helping a resident during the first Teen Tech Help eventThe Upper Arlington High School Computer Science Club hopes to build on its first “Teen Tech Help” event, a pop-up technology help desk for the community.

About a dozen students spent an hour on a Saturday morning in January at the Upper Arlington Public Library’s Main Branch answering any and all technology questions from community members.

“I believe it was well-received by the community,” Dr. Diane Kahle, a computer science teacher at the high school who serves as an adviser for the club. “Our students were able to help community members with various small issues — all of which are important to helping them become more comfortable with technology.”

Kahle and the students in the club hope to connect with community members at a future “Teen Tech Help” events. The next “Teen Tech Help” event will take place on Saturday, March 23 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Main Library. Watch the UAPL calendar at www.ualibrary.org for future dates!
