UAHS Computer Science Club reaches out to residents at "Teen Tech Help" events
The Upper Arlington High School Computer Science Club hopes to build on its first “Teen Tech Help” event, a pop-up technology help desk for the community.
About a dozen students spent an hour on a Saturday morning in January at the Upper Arlington Public Library’s Main Branch answering any and all technology questions from community members.
“I believe it was well-received by the community,” Dr. Diane Kahle, a computer science teacher at the high school who serves as an adviser for the club. “Our students were able to help community members with various small issues — all of which are important to helping them become more comfortable with technology.”
Kahle and the students in the club hope to connect with community members at a future “Teen Tech Help” events. The next “Teen Tech Help” event will take place on Saturday, March 23 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Main Library. Watch the UAPL calendar at www.ualibrary.org for future dates!
