Eight UAHS students receive Scholastic awards for excellence in the arts

Eight Upper Arlington High School students have received a combined 15 awards in the 2023 regional Scholastic Art & Writing Competition, the country’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. 


Junior Maddie R. received a Gold Key in drawing, automatically qualifying her to move on to the national Scholastic competition.


Receiving Silver Key awards were Emily B. (drawing); Audrey H. (digital art); Caroline K. (drawing); and Parker S. (drawing). 


Receiving honorable mention awards were Emily B. (drawing); Noe B. (drawing and digital art); Maggie C. (drawing); Audrey H. (drawing and digital art, three total awards); Caroline K. (drawing); Leela-Blue M. (drawing); and Parker S. (drawing).

These and other winning entries are on display at the Central Ohio Scholastic Art Awards on the Columbus College of Art and Design campus through March 3 during regular campus hours. The exhibition is housed in the Acock Gallery in the Joseph V. Canzani Center, second floor.
