21-22 Teacher Name/Class Placement: We will be sending out emails on Friday, July 30 to let you know who your child(ren) will have as a teacher next year. We are SO excited about our year together in our new building! Your child will be watching a video in his/her classroom at the end of the year with their respective teacher(s) introducing themselves as a team. This will give all students an opportunity to meet all grade level teachers at their entering grade level. Since we do so much as grade level teams, we thought this would be a good replacement for step-up day.
Withdrawing from Windermere:
If your family is moving out of Upper Arlington or moving to another school, please make sure you have been in contact with Ms. Maria ([email protected]) to fill out a district withdrawal form. We cannot remove your student without this on file.
School Counselor Corner:
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Classroom lessons will focus on ways to promote mental health. Students will be bringing home some helpful tips for parents as well as some weekly strategy ideas.
Syntero will be hosting FREE summer social and emotional groups for Upper Arlington Students. You can sign your child up now: Click here for details!
Here is the link to the May Counselor Conection Newsletter sent out ealier this month.
Insightful Information:
Students Assigned District Laptops for Specific Courses - HS and MS
All students who are currently in possession of a district laptop must return those laptops to the building media center or HS Help Desk on or before the last day of school. Laptops not returned will be remotely disabled and families will be charged a full replacement fee. The technology department can see and monitor individuals using these devices. If you have questions please email [email protected].
Withdrawing Students
Families with confirmed plans on moving or withdrawing from Windermere/Upper Arlington Schools must turn in their iPad’s and/or laptops on the last day of school to their homeroom teacher or the media specialist.
Please make sure you have a district withdrawal form on file with Ms. Maria.
Families who move or withdraw over the summer months must return the district owned iPad to The Graf Center and can make arrangements by emailing [email protected]. Failure to return the iPad will result in a $310 fee and a transcript hold until the device is returned or the fee is paid. Additionally the iPad will be remotely locked and unusable. Building secretaries and administrators are to notify withdrawing families of this requirement at the time of withdrawal, and copy [email protected].
Use Google TakeOut to Move Your School Files to Another Account Before the Last Day of School
This is important for Seniors and Withdrawing Families
Please Watch This Video on how to use Google TakeOut for Schools and follow the directions BEFORE your last day of school. If you have used your school email address to sign up for memberships or accounts to different sites, make sure you change those accounts because you will lose access to your school email at the end of June.
Lost and Found
Please have your students check our (huge) lost and found tables. Also, feel free to check with Wickliffe as they have a very large lost and found.
Anything not claimed will be donated on the last day of school.
