Board of Education schedules special meeting on Friday, November 6

The Upper Arlington Board of Education has added a special meeting at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 6 in the district central office, 1950 North Mallway Drive. During this meeting, the board will consider several items, including the draft matrix shared with families on October 27.

The draft matrix was developed with the help of the Medical Advisory Team, made up of local experts in public health and infectious disease. This framework of COVID-related data indicators would be used to guide a transition into an all-in learning model for K-12 students in the school-based pathway.

The draft matrix was updated during the Medical Advisory Team meeting on October 29 so that all five data indicators would need to be met over two consecutive weeks in order to trigger a two-week transition for a return to all-in learning.

If approved by the Board of Education, this matrix would be used when local and county COVID-related data improve.
