Important update - Board of Education approves transition to distance learning until winter break

During its meeting this morning, the Board of Education voted to transition to Enhanced Distance Learning on Monday, November 30.  The district will remain in this learning mode through the beginning of winter break on Wednesday, December 23.

The decision was based upon many factors, including our local and county-wide health data.  In addition, the Board considered the best way to provide educational continuity during a time of significant staffing concerns and a growing number of students and staff out of school due to isolation and quarantine.

Families with students on the school-based pathway will receive additional information from their schools, including reminders of the specific distance learning schedule for their students.  Families of our highest-needs learners, who are currently in school five-days a week, will receive additional information soon.
