The Upper Arlington Schools staff is excited to welcome the Golden Bears Class of 2032! Children who will be 5 years of age on or before September 30, 2019, are eligible for kindergarten during the 2019-2020 school year. Families may follow the steps below to learn more about the kindergarten experience and the registration process.
Step 1: Attend an information meeting for parents and guardians of incoming kindergarteners.

Please note that Wickliffe Progressive Elementary School is a school of choice and does not have an attendance boundary as it offers the Informal Program to students living in the Greensview, Tremont and Windermere attendance areas. Barrington Elementary School offers both the informal and contemporary instruction models to students living in that attendance area.
Step 2: Complete the online registration forms available at www.uaschools.org beginning Wednesday, February 13. Please set aside approximately 45 minutes for this step. Before you begin, you’ll want to gather the student’s family medical history and contact information for trusted, local adults the school could contact if parents and guardians cannot be reached during an emergency.
Step 3: Finalize your student’s registration at the UA Schools Graf Center. As you complete the online registration forms (Step 2 above), you will be prompted in Form 9 to schedule a meeting at the UA Schools Graf Center, 2020 Builders Place. For your appointment, please bring with you the following documentation:
- Child’s birth certificate, baptismal certificate or passport.
- Proof of residency (a deed or lease agreement showing the name of the residential parent/guardian or visit www.uaschools.org/StudentRegistrationInformation.aspx to view additional document options).
- Custodial papers (current signed copy of divorce decree and shared parenting plan), if applicable.
- Proof of immunization.

Step 4: Attend a kindergarten screening appointment at your child’s school.

Other important information
During the online registration process, families will be given the option to indicate a preference for morning or afternoon kindergarten. While we cannot guarantee placement preference, families who complete online registration within the February 13 - March 4 window and complete their appointment at the Graf Center (Step 3) within the February 14 - March 5 window will have their preference for morning or afternoon placement considered and, in the event of high demand, will be entered into a lottery for their preferred placement. Please understand that to maintain balanced classes, the school principal will make final placement decisions. Families will be notified of their placement on or before April 30.
