New Student Registration

We are excited to welcome you to Upper Arlington Schools, where our mission is to challenge and support every student, every step of the way. For more than 100 years, Upper Arlington Schools has been building a tradition of excellence.  Our educators provide students with the instruction, support, guidance and inspiration to fulfill their academic potential and to explore their interests and passions.

Residency Requirements

Parents/guardians must provide proof of primary residence in the Upper Arlington school district during the registration process. You must supply the summary page from the Franklin County Auditor's website showing as occupied by owner, a deed with a current utility bill, a current mortgage statement with a current utility bill, or an entire current signed rental / lease agreement, with the name(s) of the parent(s)/guardian(s) listed.

Residency is defined by where your important family activities take place during significant parts of the day such as where the family sleeps the majority of the time, where mail is received, where meals are eaten, and where parents are registered to vote. 

Alternative methods of enrollment are listed below.

Friends and Family Residency Affidavit form 511f2b: Please complete this form if you are living with a relative who resides within the district. The homeowner must also provide proof of residency. You will be required to provide two additional documents verifying residency.

Application for a Temporary Residency Waiver - Purchasing a Home: Non-residential families who are purchasing a new house in the district will need to complete this application and supply a copy of the purchase agreement showing the future owner’s name, address and expected occupancy date. Occupancy must take place within 90 days of enrollment.

A copy of the purchase contract/builder’s contract showing the future owner’s name, address and expected occupancy date must be attached. Occupancy must take place within 90 days of enrollment.

Have You Moved Recently?

If you have recently changed your address, you will need to submit a Change of Address Form, along with a photo ID and proof of residency, to our Registration Office

Ordering a Birth Certificate

If your child was born in Ohio, you can order your child’s birth certificate at Columbus Public Health, Vital Statistics online, by phone or by mail. Allow up to 3- 4 weeks for delivery.

Transferring Grades/Credit

Students in grades K-12 transferring from another school district must submit an official transcript in order for the grades earned by the student to be recorded on the student’s official transcript in this District. High School students (9-12) transferring from another school district must submit an official transcript from the ending school in order for the student to receive credit for course work and to have the grades earned for completed coursework recorded on the student's official transcript in this District. Report cards will not be considered sufficient evidence for granting credit towards graduation but are required to determine grade level. 

Please note that we are unable to accept enrollments from students living outside the Upper Arlington School District.
