Number of roundtable sessions completed: 7
Total points of contact: more than 150 parents, staff members and community members and nearly 200 students
In March of 2022, the Board of Education launched the Listen Learn Lead process with a series of community roundtable discussions offered between March 9 and March 31, with morning, afternoon, evening and virtual options available, as well as additional opportunities for students to provide feedback.
Through a “world cafe” style process, hundreds of students, staff members, parents and community members engaged in discussions and documented their feedback on five topic areas stemming from the district’s strategic plan: our district’s strengths; whole learning (academics); student and staff well-being; finances; and communications.
“We have seen a lot of energy in our community around our Listen Learn Lead process,” Board of Education President Lori Trent said. “It’s been exciting to see community members, staff members and students engaged in conversations about their vision and priorities for the future of our schools.”
