Transportation

The Upper Arlington City School District offers transportation services to elementary and middle school students who live 1.25 miles or greater from their home school. Transportation is not provided for high school students. Transportation also may be provided to students with special education transportation needs.

The district owns and operates its own fleet of school buses and school transportation vehicles. Capacities range from 9 passenger vans to 71 passenger buses.

The number one goal of the department is to provide safe and efficient transportation for all students to and from school and school related activities.

2020-2021 Bus Routes Information

In an effort to provide parents and students with secure and accurate busing information, the district utilizes a Transportation Parent Portal.  This application allows families who requested transportation to view transportation information including bus number with stop location and times.

To access the portal, please follow these instructions:

  1. Enter your user name, which is the student's name in the following format: firstname.lastname (for example, Jane.Doe).

  2. Enter your password, which is the student's birthdate in the following format: MMDDYYYY.

  3. After logging in, click on the STUDENTS tab located in the upper left-hand corner.

  4. Select VIEW MY STUDENTS.

  5. A listing of students living in that home will appear. Click on each student's name to see his or her transportation information.

To access the portal, please visit https://elink.uaschools.org/elinkrp/Login.aspx

If you have questions or concerns related to your student's transportation information or experience difficulty in accessing this information, please email [email protected].   Please include your student's name and school in the subject of the message.   We will also need their grade, your address and any special transportation arrangements (i.e. daycare) in the body of your message.

When Busing Will Begin

Busing will begin on the dates below for the following groups of students:

  • August 31: special education students who would qualify to attend five days a week during the hybrid model

  • Week of September 14: elementary and sixth grade students on their in-person hybrid transition days

  • Week of September 21: K-8 students on their scheduled in-person hybrid learning days

This is based on what we know at this time and is subject to change based on evolving conditions, data about the status of the pandemic, and recommendations or guidance from public health authorities and the scientific community.

Please check the link a day or two before your student’s first day of school to make sure that the information you have has not changed. It is important that you have your student at the stop five minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time.
