Summer BRIDGE

Summer BRIDGE to Achievement and Well-Being

Upper Arlington Schools is excited to announce the launch of our Summer BRIDGE to Achievement and Well-Being program for the summer of 2021. This program is designed to provide students with opportunities to stay engaged with their learning and with teachers and peers during the summer.

Summer BRIDGE will take place from June 7 through June 30 and is designed to offer flexibility for families. Families may choose from single-day, multiple-day or week-long workshops for students. Registration is based on the student’s grade level for the current 2020-2021 school year.

K-5 Summer BRIDGE: Families of elementary students may choose from morning and afternoon sessions. All sessions will be located at Tremont Elementary School, 2900 Tremont Road.

Grades 6-12 Summer BRIDGE: Sessions for middle school and high school students will typically take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All sessions will be located at Hastings Middle School, 1850 Hastings Lane (unless otherwise specified).

There is no cost for students to participate. Summer BRIDGE is designed to provide students with support and enrichment in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and that support and enrichment will continue into the upcoming school year and future years.

Summer BRIDGE is in addition to existing Upper Arlington Schools programs designed to support students academically such as Summer Academy, Summer Reading and Credit Recovery. You can learn more on our website

Course offerings and additional resources

Our Summer BRIDGE to Achievement and Well-Being offers a wide range of opportunities for students to learn and engage with Upper Arlington Schools teachers and peers — including math support, leadership skill development, sewing and yoga, computer science and more.

Even if you choose to not participate in Summer BRIDGE, student learning and engagement can continue throughout the summer. We’ve put together a list of additional opportunities for students - including local camps and workshops that promote learning, health and fitness, and more. All learning applications on your student’s district-issued device will also continue to be available throughout the summer for students to reinforce and extend their learning.

Registration information

Our Summer BRIDGE to Achievement and Well-Being is available to current Upper Arlington Schools students who are completing grades K-12 for the 2020-2021 school year. Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis and will be accepted, as space allows, until the day before a course begins. We will maintain wait lists for any sessions that fill to capacity, and we will communicate with families if additional slots become available. We will also reach out if there aren’t enough student registrations to move forward with a particular session.

Registration opens on Tuesday, May 25 at 4:00 p.m. at the links below.

In order to complete your student’s registration, you will need their six-digit school ID number (lunch number). You may find your student’s school ID number in the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

If you have registration questions, please contact [email protected].
