This spring, the new Wickliffe playground began taking shape, with the installation of new swings and spinners, thanks to initial fundraising efforts by a team of school and community volunteers. Following the end of the school year, the wooden castle structure, which has reached the end of its useful lifespan after being installed more than 30 years ago, will be removed.
Please join the Wickliffe school community for a farewell celebration to enjoy some final moments before we say goodbye to the Wickliffe Castle Playground on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., with a reception immediately following. This celebration will be open to all community members and will be held outside near the castle playground. Please bring your own seating.

This summer, a new play structure will be installed, thanks to funding from Upper Arlington Schools. The team of volunteers are continuing to fundraise — including a recent gift-matching campaign with Northwest Kiwanis that raised $40,000 — for the final phase of the project, which will include Earthscape play structures and help bring the unique personality of the Wickliffe community to the playground.
