March has been a busy month for the more than 60 volunteers working on the district’s next strategic plan. This month, the three Strategic Inquiry Teams, made up of students, staff, parents and community members, are identifying the resources and research needed to identify well-supported recommendations for the three draft priority areas — engaged learning, well-being and engagement, and connection and communication — each strengthened by a focus on continuous improvement through excellence and innovation. Also this month, a fourth group of volunteers, the Strategic Coordination Team, heard updates from each of the inquiry teams and created specific definitions for the terms excellence and innovation within the strategic plan. Additionally, Dr. Hunt hosted two Coffee and Conversation events, offering updates on the strategic planning process as well as other district events.
