COVID-19 TRAVEL ADVISORIES - Please be aware of the following guidance if you are planning to travel outside of the state of Ohio or the country.
- If you are leaving the state of Ohio and traveling within the United States, please check to see if your destination is on Ohio's COVID-19 Travel Advisory list. It is advised that anyone entering Ohio from a state with a high incidence of COVID-19 quarantine for 14 days from the time they left that state. The list of states is updated every Wednesday. Please note that if the state you have traveled to is added to the list while you are there, it is advised that your student quarantine for 14 days before returning to school.
- If you are planning to travel outside the country, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website for recommendations by country.

THANK YOU FROM UACA - The Upper Arlington Civic Association would like to thank Jones Middle School for supporting our first Spread the Love Art Drive. Jones provided 257 pieces of art, crafts, and Valentine's Day cards for our UA residents living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The artwork and cards provided were so very touching and the residents will love and appreciate them. Thank you for supporting this project and for "spreading the love" to our UA Senior Citizens that have been negatively impacted by COVID. Jill Kuhlman & Katie McClean, UACA Directors.
UAHS CAPSTONE PROJECT - QUARANTINE SUPPORT - As a part of her Capstone project, a UAHS senior has created Quarantine Care Packages for any UAHS, Hastings or Jones student who is either in quarantine or struggling with feelings of isolation during remote learning. To receive a care package, please complete THIS FORM. If you would like to request a care package for more than one student in your household, please submit one form for each student.
MARCH BOOK MADNESS IS HERE! Students should visit the Jones LC page on Canvas to find a link to fill out your bracket. Brackets are due by the end of the school day on Wednesday 2/17. Stay tuned for an opportunity to vote on winning books. The top two students and top staff member will receive a prize!
JMS TALENT SHOW - SAVE THE DATE - The JMS Talent Show is tentatively scheduled for April 9 with a required dress rehearsal on April 8. Auditions are tentatively scheduled for March 29, 31 and April 2 from 3:30 to 5pm. More information about sign ups and procedures will be posted the first week of March. NEW AVAILABLE CLUBS FOR ALL STUDENTS - We will be starting some new clubs in the Online Academy next week. Just as OA students are able to join clubs from the buildings, we welcome all students from the building who would like to participate in these clubs as well. Below is the schedule and zoom links for the clubs. We kick off next week. Students can come and check out any club that they want - if they don't like it, they don't have to come back. If they do like it but can't come every time they meet, that is perfectly fine too. We don't have any sign-ups; we accept anyone who wants to and is able to join. Please share this information with your students.
UAHS BOYS SOCCER INFORMATION NIGHT - Calling all eighth grade and high school boys soccer players! Meet the coaching staff of the UAHS Boys Soccer Program and learn about the program at our “Meet the Coach” Information Night on Wednesday, March 24. This Zoom meeting will be divided up between the returning players and the new players: 7:00 p.m. for RETURNING PLAYERS and 8:00 p.m. for NEW PLAYERS. Parents and potential players are encouraged to attend to learn about the summer activities, player registration for tryouts and important upcoming dates. UAHS INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA AND CAREER-RELATED PROGRAMS INFORMATION SESSION - Middle School Parents and students: are you interested in finding out more about the International Baccalaureate Diploma and Career-related Programs? It is never too early to plan ahead and consider either of these programs for your high school experience. There are some things that you can do now to guarantee your success. 8TH GRADE YEARBOOK TRIBUTES - Every year 8th grade parents have the opportunity to purchase a tribute for their child in the Jones Middle School Yearbook.
