PICK UP AND DROP OFF ON COVENTRY - Please be mindful of our crosswalks and bus needs on Coventry Road.  We are seeing several cars parking in locations designated for the bus as well as vehicles blocking our crosswalks.  We appreciate your support in keeping everyone safe.

John P. McQuillen Winter Sportsmanship Award - Every athletics season there are two student athletes who are selected as recipients of the John P. McQuillen Sportsmanship Award. The qualification process for this award extends far beyond just the field of play. Throughout the athletic season, 8th grade coaches watch for individuals who are not afraid to stand and lead by example, who empower their fellow students through kindness, and who conduct themselves in a consistent manner that coincides with the highest standards of sportsmanship. Our first recipient of the Winter 2020-21 John P. McQuillen Sportsmanship Award is an individual who was described by her coach as:

"A quiet leader who consistently leads by example. She is always willing to stay after practice to help a teammate or record videos to help the younger girls learn the material. She is inclusive and accepting of all, and is a good role model for everyone on the team. She embodies what it means to be a well-rounded student athlete who is driven and passionate about her sport."

Please join me in congratulating Lauren Rigney!

Our second recipient of the Winter 2020-21 John P. McQuillen Sportsmanship Award is an individual who was described by his coach as:

"Not only one of the best players on the team, but also one of the best kids. He is an incredible teammate, always helping others, encouraging, directing, and consistently leading by example.  He is a great young man, polite, kind, and considerate, who carries himself that way at school as well.  Few young men his age with his success on the court/field carry themselves with such humility.."

Please join me in congratulating Cal Thrush!

Congratulations to both Lauren and Cal on such an outstanding accomplishment!

Anyone is welcome to submit a nomination - students, colleagues or parents. All nominations and quotes will remain anonymous. Please go to uaca.org to submit your nomination.
