Tim Barton to serve as interim Wickliffe principal starting Aug. 2

Tim Barton will serve as the interim principal starting Aug. 2 for Angela Evans while she is on maternity leave. Mr. Barton is a retired administrator who spent most of his career with Dublin City Schools. In addition, Mr. Barton worked for South-Western City Schools for 11 years as an elementary and intermediate principal. Prior to becoming a principal, Mr. Barton was a sixth-grade teacher and a middle school teacher focusing on Math and Science. After teaching in Dublin for 10 years, he served the Dublin District as an elementary and middle school principal for 17 years. During that time, Mr. Barton developed the school district’s first multiage program with units in K/1, 2-3, and 3-4. Mr. Barton is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he received his B.S. in Elementary Education and his Masters in Education Administration. He also attended Ashland University to obtain his superintendency license. Mr. Barton is married with two adult children. His wife, Andrea, is a former first grade teacher who currently works for The Ohio State University as an education field supervisor.
