Dear Greenview Elementary School Families,
I hope you are looking forward to your weekend, I’m hoping for some drier weather!
We're thrilled to announce our excitement surrounding the upcoming eclipse, promising a fascinating learning experience for our students. Additionally, please remember that Monday will be an early release day (1:00) to ensure everyone's safety during this celestial event. Please look for eclipse glasses in your child’s backpack. In addition, should your family need additional glasses, the PTO has some available for $1.00 a piece (honor system) in the lobby vestibule at Greensview.
Please mark your calendars for a change in our end-of-year schedule. Our Field Day event, originally scheduled for May 21st, has been rescheduled to May 23rd (the last day of school). We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we strive to provide the best experiences for our children.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.
Warm regards
Principal Wulf

Health clinic update
Effective March 1, the CDC updated its COVID-19 guidelines, discontinuing the quarantine period for positive test results. Franklin County Public Health is also adopting these new guidelines. At this time, students and staff who test positive for COVID-19 may return to school when well enough to participate and have been fever-free for more than 24 hours without the use of fever-reduction medication.
Our school nurses track communicable illnesses and work with local public health agencies to mitigate potential outbreaks. If your student is diagnosed with or treated for a communicable illness (strep, pinkeye, influenza, COVID-19, lice, etc.), please report the illness to the school nurse. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our schools are a healthy learning environment for all students.

Safety Education Information
Dear Greensview Families,
In April, the elementary school counselors will deliver classroom lessons on ways to stay safe and speak up. Senate Bill 288, signed by Ohio Governor DeWine in January 2023, requires annual lessons for Ohio’s K-6 students in child sexual abuse prevention.
Upper Arlington City Schools will use instructional materials from the Second Step Child Protection Unit for the required lessons this year. For a broad overview of the program, you can visit the website at: https://www.secondstep.org/child-protection. We are also using the books Your Body Belongs to You by Cornelia Spelman and No Means No by Jayneen Sanders during the lessons.
A brief overview of the general topics that will be covered include:
Please look for a detailed letter following the lesson in your child’s class. This will give you talking points, questions to ask your child, and additional resources to continue this important conversation at home.
If you have any questions, please let me know! I look forward to partnering with you to teach your child about staying SAFE, STRONG, AND FREE.
Best,
Laura Kunkle, School Counselor
