Counseling Center

As School Counselors, we recognize that there are many uncertainties with our current COVID-19 situation. We understand how a spontaneous change like this to our daily routine and structure can cause worry, doubt, and anxiousness among many other feelings. Please know that we are here to support you. We have provided this HS Counseling Corner website as a resource with a lot of great information and supports for students and families in this time of COVID- 19 and distance learning. You can also schedule appointments directly with your school counselor from this site. Take care!
Sincerely,

Your UAHS School Counseling Team

School Counseling Services are available in grades 9 through 12. There are full-time counselors in the Counseling Center to assist students with their academic, career, college, and personal-social interests and concerns.

Services provided by the counseling program are for ALL students. School counselors are available to every student who wishes to discuss matters such as career planning, educational planning, college planning, and personal and social development issues. In addition to individualized counseling, materials are available in the Counseling Center, the College Center, and the Learning Center concerning areas of occupation or college information. Each student desiring a well-planned school program is encouraged to talk with a college counselor in the Counseling Center whenever questions or problems arise.

Career Center Information

In Upper Arlington, every junior and senior has the opportunity to enroll in a career-technical education course of study. This means that in addition to the rigorous academic requirements, students take specific classes in their chosen field.  Engineering, healthcare, computer graphics, auto technology and culinary arts are just a few of the 16 career fields in which Ohio high school students can enroll.  This specialized education is delivered through 1/2 day attendance at one of two career centers in downtown Columbus.
